10 and 13 August 2012: Autumn?

For such a ridiculously hot summer, we are having a ridiculously cool August. This weekend, I wore a heavy sweatshirt while sitting by the fire at night, bats flying overhead. Absolutely crazy.  And absolutely up my alley.

H&M ruched sleeve polka dot top, Old Navy Flirt capris, Me Too ballerina flats

I love this top – the neckline and sleeves are just so much fun.

Walt Disney World Mickey dress, Forever 21 leggings, Gap boyfriend cardigan, Aerosole heels

It’s 67 right now, at 1:45pm. In mid-August! Hello, autumn outfit. I bought this dress as an emergency-need-a-new-top-pronto at Disney’s Hollywood Studios a few years ago and I never wear it. I don’t know why, maybe I still consider it an emergency only thing? I wear other Disney things, so I decided to get over it and wear it today. I love the sketchy Mickey, and I love blue and grey together.

  1. 67 degrees!? Wow, we won’t see the likes of that temperature in the daytime until December maybe…but more likely not until Jan or Feb.
Love the polka dot top btw!

    • Isn’t it crazy?? We usually don’t hit that until late September, October. I’m sure we’ll heat back up at some point, but apparently not this week at all. I’m going to enjoy it while it lasts.
This top really is great – gotta love cheap and adorable.

  2. Hi, total lurker de-lurking here. I just LOVE this blog and seeing what you wear every day. Here’s a totally unsolicited suggestion…do you have any chuck taylors? Low ones? I couldn’t help but thinking they would look cute with that Mickey dress. Kind of a funky casual thing. Anyway! Just wanted to say I’m a fan 🙂

    • Hi! I love totally unsolicited advice, it’s the perk of the blog. *g* I do have low topped converse – even a pair in grey. I think I’ll give that a whirl next time, I agree it would look cute.
And thank you so much, you’re so kind! No need to be a stranger, I’d love to hear more from you. 🙂
