Unintentional radio silence! I came home and promptly got smacked in the face with allergies and spent a week in a fog and on the couch. Then came the time change. But I am finally much improved! I have words again!

New Mickey necklace! I’d hoped to find one I’d see at Disney World last October, interlocking Mickeys, but that was a no go. This one is equally adorable, though. There’s a wee little heart inside his head!

Eeeesh. Not as planned. I had tried cream tights, but they didn’t work. In retrospect, I think they worked and the shoes didn’t, but I wasn’t very clear headed. I like the idea of pink and gold, but this was a fail.

Storytime day! I got asked my a girl to not leave my desk so she could go get her sister, who she knew would love my top, ha.

An actual thought out outfit! Clearly my brain was back. The tights made the dots on the dress look darker, but I chose the sweater because they matched the dots! I might have made it all mismatch a bit, but I still like the color scheme. It was 50, and I didn’t have to wear a down jacket, and that deserves flowers and bright colors.

  1. The week after a vacation is always the worst! No hope for a vacation in the near-ish future and the post-travel illnesses are just such a delight. Love the little flower brooch on the pink cardi – perfect!
Hope you are feeling better soon!

  2. Hi Shelley, I hope you had a great trip, and really cute outfits as well! Bottom outfit looks lovely on you! Just curious are you wearing brown or burgundy tights (its hard to tell)? I think your pink skirt with your cream sweater is a perfect ensemble! I think I would have went with either white or light pink tights instead. For shoes I would have worn a cream, white, blushing pink or light tan coloured pair of ballet flats like these

Or if you want to be different, a pair of these in white or pink (I know I am such a geek)

    • Thank you! The tights are burgundy.

I definitely need to work on my pastel shoe options – I used to have these great pink ballerina flats, but I had to get rid of them when they fell apart and I haven’t found a replacement yet. I tend dark with my shoes, and I think that’s what screwed up the flow of the outfit! Pastel keds could definitely be a fun thing to buy!

  3. Hi Shelley, I love the outfits they are great!! I hope you did not think I was criticizing, for I love your outfits. I also owe you an apology, I thought your sweater was cream but it has more of an oatmeal look to it. Oh I saw these orange and pink plaid keds, they might not be your shoe size but something like it would be cute here is the link

    • Thank you! And I always value the feedback I get from you and Jane and other commenters because things don’t’ always work, or could work better, and it’s often easier for other people to see exactly what works or not! So never worry there. 🙂

Those plaid Keds are amazing!!! Gah, I wish they were my size because I would snap them up so fast.
