Our summer reading adventure starts tomorrow at work! I actually did such a good job with time management that I finished absolutely everything this afternoon around 2:30 and then got cranky and stressed because I needed to be Doing Things and there was nothing to do but wait, ha. I did some ordering, made some phone calls, and that helped.
Abercrombie and Fitch top, Old Navy sweetheart skinnies, JCrew Factory scarf, Keds
So boring. So cold. At least I experimented with the scarf?
Elie Tahari striped top, Old Navy Flirt skirt, Forever 21 leggings, Nerdtastic Agent Carter necklace, Hawkeye and Widow bracelets, Biviel t-strap heels
An actual put together outfit! I probably should have worn this the day before when I was training our new hires. OH WELL. I walked to Old Navy Monday night and I couldn’t have done that in these heels.
Check the cute necklace:
It’s a quote from Agent Carter, which ends, “No one else’s opinion matters.” Talk about an excellent mantra. The default charm is her red fedora, but I like Steve’s star – also makes it more wearable with more outfits. Most Agent Carter jewelry I find involves guns (she’s a spy/special agent), so I was thrilled to find a reasonably priced one that doesn’t.
anthropologie top, Sag Harbor skirt, Captain America necklace, Agent Carter necklace, White Cliff flats
Yeah, the shield doesn’t go with the outfit, whatever. My hair doesn’t go with the outfit, either. I went with it anyway.
I’ve been looking for a big achievable project this summer and I decided to do the Couch to 5K. I’ve never been a runner or jogger, largely because of my asthma and allergies, but I’ve been walking so much that I decided it could maybe work. So I picked up some earbuds and fangirl workout tops and did W1D1 on Monday and W1D2 today, on National Runner Day. It’s been going well, but I did realize that jogging and walking in heels use the same muscles, ow.
Redbubble On Your Left (Rogers Running Club) top, Gap yoga pants, running shoes
The top refers to Sam and Steve meeting as runners in Captain America 2: Winter Soldier, heh. When I saw the designs, I had to do it. Makes me smile.
Also making me smile: BINGO. I was up last weekend for my mom’s birthday and he was a doll.
Also smileworthy: my summer organization. All my beautifully designed logs (not by me; two by a colleague and two by an amazing freelancer), counted and organized on our cart and in storage.
Yeah, it’s ridiculous to be excited by organization, but whatevs, do not care. T-12 hours!
